Cyberpunk 2077
The first on our list is the highly anticipated action role-playing game, Cyberpunk 2077. Developed by CD Projekt Red, this game is set in a dystopian future where technology and humanity have mixed and greed is the ruling factor of society.
Players can create their character, building up their stats and skill set, which affects how they approach the game. The open-world of Night City is full of action and danger, in which players can explore and discover new stories, complete missions, and take part in combat.
You can expect real-time ray tracing and facial animation, so you can truly immerse yourself in the game’s gritty setting. Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on December 10, 2020, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
Valheim
Valheim is a pretty unique game, as it dictates the creation of a Viking world as far as you care to explore it. The crafting and building inspired by Nordic culture will draw you in, regardless of your level of gaming experience.
This title is a survival game, which means that you must think strategically to ensure the survival of yourself and your Viking crew. This is done by completing objectives and collecting resources, which can be used to craft weapons, tools, and buildings.
The consequence-based progression elements, responsive enemies, and expansive open-world all make this a game worth play. Valheim is currently available to play on PC through Steam Early Access, with more versions expected in the future.
Rust
You may have heard of Rust, the survival-crafting game that will both frustrate and fascinate you. This game is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where the player is tasked with crafting and scavenging their way through a bleak and dangerous landscape.
The game pits you against other players online as you compete for resources and build bases to protect yourself. There’s also a heavily Rust-influenced cosmetics and skins market that allows you to customize your character and feel even more immersed in the world.
Rust puts players against elements, animals, resources, and other players in an open world, with a completely player-defined storyline. The game is currently available on PC and Mac, with console versions soon to follow.
Far Cry 6
The next PC gaming release on our list is Far Cry 6, the newest installment to the Far Cry franchise. Unlike its predecessors, this game takes place in the fictional Caribbean island of Yara, which has been conquered by dictator Anton Castillo.
Players take control of a local resistance fighter, who must unite the people of Yara to overthrow the tyrannical rule of Anton Castillo and his son Diego. The storyline promises to be captivating, involving a diverse cast of characters, an intricately crafted open world, and intense gunplay.
The game’s graphics have seen an upgrade as well, which is sure to give an even more immersive experience. Far Cry 6 will be released on February 18, 2021, for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Google Stadia.
Outriders
The final PC Gaming release on our list is Outriders, a third-person shooter developed by People Can Fly. Set in a unique sci-fi world, you can expect Outriders to bring awesome visuals, a captivating storyline, and intense action.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic earthquake-ravaged world where humanity has to struggle against the new hostile environment. As a solo player or with a team, you can explore the hostile environment, fight formidable foes, and unleash powerful abilities to save humanity.
Outriders will take you on a thrilling journey, as you uncover massive secrets in a strange new world. Outriders is currently set to release on April 1, 2021, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
